Data released by the U.S. Department of labor on March 6,2020 showed that the number of non-agricultural employment in the United States increased by 273000 in February, far  higher than the market expectation of 175000, a new record since February 2019. The unemployment rate fell to 3.5% from 3.6% in January, hitting its lowest level in more than 50 years.
